Who we are
This website is operated by Elliot Davies, a sole proprietor (FOP) registered in Ukraine, trading as Datum Defence Group, based in Kyiv, Ukraine (“Datum”, “we”, “us”). We are the controller of personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at info@datumdefencegroup.com.
What we collect
When you use our contact form or email us, we collect the information you provide: your name, company, role, email address, and the content of your message. We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, any sensitive personal data.
Our web host may record technical information such as IP addresses and browser type in server logs, for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide services you request. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To keep records of our business communications. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligations.
We do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to operate this website and our business, who process data on our behalf:
- Website hosting and contact form: Netlify
- Email: Namecheap Private Email
- Fonts: Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts load
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for 24 months after our last contact, unless we enter into a contract, in which case we keep records for as long as required for legal and accounting purposes.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to our processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact info@datumdefencegroup.com.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the relevant data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
